Bridals

DISCLAIMER: I have never wanted bridal pictures. It seems kinda conceded/cheesy to take glamor shots of just yourself in a poofy, white dress. I'd so much rather have pictures of Matt and me. Also, there's the fact that I'm not very photogenic. Last, but not least, what in the world do you do with all the prints?

Needless to say, I had bridals taken and had SO MUCH FUN DOING IT!!!!!! Nanny agreed to take our wedding pics for us and she wanted the extra practice of bridals. I was glad b/c I wanted to spend time with her, so it just made sense to go have some fun with the camera. Mom came along and she made sure my posture was erect, my upper gum wasn't showing, and that I didn't look sleepy-eyed. We were quite the trio.

When my four year old nephew, Landon, saw this picture, he got all concerned and asked if I was still going to marry Matt. I told him that this other fellow caught my eye and I had made a last minute decision to marry him instead. Landon asked what his name was. "Joseph F. Smith," I responded. Landon's face turned all worried-like. I said, "Do you think I should marry Joseph?" With a serious demeanor, Landon shook his head. I couldn't torture him any longer and finally broke down and told him it was a cardboard cut-out! He was very relieved.

If you would like to hire Nanette as your professional photographer, let me know. She doesn't know this, but I'm starting up a business for her. :)
Isn't she amazing?!?!?

Back-tracking a bit to July 4, 2011 celebrations...

Matt came to Gunnison to enjoy the small-town festivities. (He LOVES small towns.)

Tan-Man with his bag of goodies.

Amie & Amber - which is which?!

Nanny-Poo and Me

This picture should be the last one, but I'm not taking the time to switch it. We joined the Anderson family "Tank Wars 2011," My first tank war. I kinda liked it.

Only in Gunnison! I love the parade.

At Grandma's house for the Sorensen BBQ. Louie is a saint for always spearheading the event. Grandma is holding Baby Brett - almost 5 months old.

In all, it was a wonderful holiday. Aren't we so blessed to live in such a wonderful country and to enjoy the freedoms we do?

New Titles

Well folks, I'm married!!!! (I've waited FOREVER to say that.)

Along with being married comes new titles. I am no longer Miss Sorensen. Mrs. Anderson? This could take some getting used to. I was at my school yesterday and started writing "Sorensen" on some books that I had purchased. Half way through I realized that wasn't my name any more.

Now... Matt is quite the witty writer, so I have allowed him part ownership of this blog. In doing so, this blog's title will need to change as well.

Perhaps, "The Blog of Cindiggity-Dog & Matty?" No.... that won't do. Maybe, "The Andersons?" Nope. Too boring. I may need to sleep on this. Any suggestions? In the mean time, I will post some catch up entries.

What Would You Wish For?

Matt Loves Treasure Trolls. He owns 58 of them and keeps them in a Troll back pack. I'm not sure why.
He has started to decorate the bedroom with them.

The other day, I caught him wearing this watch.

He sleeps with this pillow.

And listens to music on his Troll cassette player while he colors in his Troll coloring book.

(Before watching this video, be sure to turn off the music on this blog.)

What would you wish for?
I wish for Matt to never see this post b/c I'm going to be in so much trouble for posting it!!!! I'm going to go rub one of his Troll's bellies right NOW!

A conversation we had yesterday:
Matt: I think we can seriously get some money off all these trolls on ebay.
Me: Oh, really.
Matt: Yeah, like 40 bucks!
Me: (Laughing my head off.)
Matt: This (troll collecting) is something we have to stop our own children from doing. I don't want their husband/wife laughing at them after they get married.

I Was Showered...

This past week, I was showered with laughter, gifts, and love.

My friends, Amanda Clark & Cindi Arnold (sisters), hosted a bridal shower for me in Eagle Mountain.

As the guests arrived, they got a piece of paper and participated in multiple choice questions hung on the wall. All the questions had to do with how/when I met Matt, kissed Matt, got engaged to Matt, etc.

Introducing the guests

Gifts galore!

The next day, I headed home to Gunnison for a Sorensen Girls shower. My sister's in law and mom helped host this one.
Note the picture above. This was not your ORDINARY bridal shower. You see, Amber asked Tyler to help her word the invitation for a pantry party where the guests bring pantry items to help fill the couple's pantry. Instead of pantry, Tyler accidently wrote "panty!" Now... I'm a pretty conservative person, so let's just say I about died when I read the invitation. :) Needless to say, the "panty" theme stuck...

the guests arrived in fashion,

the food was delectable,

the gifts were tame (for the most part - minus Shirece's, Lisa's and Sharon's gift. Hint: Luke 4:4) :),
and the games were WILD!
(Put the panties in order)

(Pin the panty on the bride)

(Fling the panty at the target)

Both parties were so much fun. Thanks to all who attended and especially those who hosted!
