This Easter was EGGcellent! On Friday, we traveled down to Mt. Pleasant to get our teeth cleaned and then we had a little egg hunt in Karen's back yard. Danny and kids and Mom came up for it as well.
Laynie loved finding Easter eggs!
Gavin did too, but got a little distracted...

On Saturday morning, the kids found a note from the Easter Bunny telling them that he had come, but had hidden their baskets. Luckily he gave clues. Laynie found hers behind a chair,
and Gavin found his in the dryer.
Happy Easter, my little chickadees!

Saturday afternoon, we met up with Matt's family at a park in Saratoga for another hunt.
Kathy always does a nice job at making it so special - especially since tax season and Easter are always together.

After the hunt, we hung out in Utah County. We had Cousin Aly babysit the kids while Matt and I went to the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. We did sealings together, and there was a beautiful Spirit in the room. When there was a break, a mother asked the sealer where she could go to find more information on the New and Everlasting Covenant. She was concerned for a couple of her family members and how the sealing and blessings would all work out in the end. The sealer reassured her that as long as she kept the covenants she made, all blessings pertaining to those covenants would be hers.
That evening, I went back to the temple to take some pictures of my nephew, Eli, who will soon be making his first covenants when he's baptized. All this made me think of the covenants I've made with my Heavenly Father and realize even more the immense love He has for his children here on earth.
On Sunday, I sang in a Woman's Easter Ensemble to the music, "In the Silent Garden." We dyed easter eggs with the kids and watched the movie, "Moana."
I remember a lesson one of my Snow College Institute teachers gave about the resurrection. He started class by telling us that every morning we wake up, we should jump out of bed and shout, "Yes! I get to be resurrected!" (And he really did shout that at the top of his lungs. Hence the reason I probably remember the lesson...) But that's how important Jesus' suffering, death, and resurrection were. We CAN be resurrected and live with God again thanks to our Savior, His atonement, and the miracle of His resurrection!
