Halloween 2020 - Napoleon Dynamite Style!

Halloween landed on a Saturday this year.  We decided to dress up as Napoleon Dynamite characters.  Matt's Kip costume was the most realistic looking, if I do say so, myself.  LOL!

Brittney is great to always attend each year.  (It's kinda our thing!)

We also invited our neighbors across the street - The Stevenson Family (Sara, Colton and Clementine).

When I was putting the food away, I realized I had neglected to take a picture!  We had spooky eyeballs with intestines, gruesome greens, and candy corn fruit cups - with of course, Boo Day Cake!

We walked around the neighborhood while the kids ran to the doors to trick or treat.  I did get some weird looks from passersby.  Kip lagged behind talking to his friends and that left me looking like a creeper.  Luckily Brittney was close by in her cute flapper dress - since it was the roaring 2 thousand 20's!

Something new we did this year was drive around the city looking at homes spookily decorated.  KSL produced a list of homes and we spent an evening driving around and looking at around 5-8 homes.  It made for a fun evening.

Family Fall Photos 2020

American Fork Canyon was our backdrop for these pictures.  Oh how I love to capture these people that I love through the lease of a camera!

Fall Break 2020

For Fall break, the kids had the entire week off! We went on a hike above the Draper Temple, on a preschool field trip to Petersen Family Farms in Riverton then travelled to Sanpete County to get our teeth cleaned, go to Beck Family Farms, and the Gunnison Swimming Pool!  The kids love going to Gunnison and so does their Momma!

I love to hike.  So glad these two agreed to be my hiking buddies!

At the farm, we went on a hayride.

Picked out a pumpkin, and

enjoyed being outside!

It's Harvest Time!

We had one of the best gardens we've ever had this year!  a few strawberries, lots of raspberries, tomatoes, carrots, zucchini, squash and pumpkins!

Laynie really wanted to plan carrots so we found some multi-colored ones and she was in 7th heaven.  I had he help me cut, blanche and freeze them.  Nothing beats home-grown produce!

I had more squash than I could use up but was able to find others who could use it.

I canned over 30 bottles of tomatoes.

We took advantage of the fall sale on trees and got two for our front yard - a Royal Raindrop Crabapple tree (above) and a Sunburst Honeylocust (below).  Our goal was to provide shade in front of the kids' bedroom windows and beautify our yard.

Here's our beautiful Honeylocust.

Laynie goes to preschool (again!)

I decided to do another year of teaching preschool.  I love it.  It fulfills me.  This year was a bit tricky with Covid-19.  I had it all worked out to have preschool finished by the time I was to take Laynie to afternoon kindergarten.  However, the kindergarten times changed (thanks to covid) so Daddy take a work break every Tuesday and Thursday to take Laynie to school while I finish teaching the last hour of my class.  Despite Covid I ended up having 10 students (a full class). So far, we've all managed to stay healthy and we've carried on as usual with extra hand sanitizer / taking temperatures upon entry measures.

Laynie is the bottom left.  We have a GREAT class this year with super sweet kids!

Breadsticks shaped like the letter S.

Dinosaur claws when we learned the letter D.

Laynie was excited to spend a day with Flamey - our class pet!  We documented it all in a class book!
