March-ing through the Months

The first weekend in March, Alayna had her first dance competition of the season.  She NAILED it in every way!!
Her cute dance group were so in sync and I LOVE watching them perform together.

Laynie was awarded Master Soloist!  She got strait 1st places in all 4 of her solos - which isn't an easy feat.  Of all the contestants, only the ones above received that award.  If you will look closely, you'll notice Laynie is the YOUNGEST one to win this award as well!

So CONFIDENT!

PROUD of my GIRL!

Alayna was also "Wanda Whereabout" in her class's take on Fairy Tale News!

She got to interview Sleeping Beauty and David Dashing.

She memorized all her lines in one day and did such a cute job.

Her teacher also had her draw the beanstalk in this scene:

Laynie is still taking art from Kristell and loves it.

Gavin is SO into army guys.  He has his own YouTube chanel - The Chicken Lord - where he posts stop action videos that he makes of army scenes.  They are quite clever and I love that he has found a hobby in making movies.

On March 16th, the girl cousins gathered at Louie's house (used to be Grandma/pa Sorensen's house) for a Cousin Reunion.

It was fun to connect with everyone again.  We got caught up, played spoons, then...

ate soup and bread.

Here we are pictured in front of the house.  A few years ago, Louie was going to sell this house.  I was super sad...  But then she changed her mind and she and Robert have renovated the inside - updating it with new paint, cupboards, flooring, etc.  It looks really nice inside, and I'm so glad this house is still in the family.

The kids had Monday and Tuesday the 11/12 of March off of school.  So we went to the movies and saw Kung Fu Panda #4.  It was a cute movie.

The weekend before Easter, the kids joined a gazillion other kids for the city of Saratoga Spring's easter egg hunt.  This year, they had it at Patriot Park.  It worked out well having the kids line up along the baseball dirt and all the eggs scattered in the outfield of all 4 fields - divided by age groups.

This was Gavin's last egg hunt.  I'm a little sad about that...

Laynie had an activity day where she painted a Book of Mormon.

My preschool kids performed Nursery Rhyme Time!

Matt helped the kids dye eggs.  I'm sure glad he spearheads this because, like pumpkin carving, it's not my jam.
