So far to date, one of the hardest things I've had to do is put our Woods Cross home up for sale. It was the home of my dreams. I loved everything about it - everything, that is, except for the ground it was built on. We put in steel piers last October and had a year of free financing before the money was due. One option was to sell our home to pay for the piers, and after careful consideration and much prayer, that was the option Heavenly Father wanted us to go forward with. We weren't sure if our home would even sell. We disclosed everything and STILL had several offers at and above our asking price. We were a bit shocked, but went forward. I kept thinking our buyers would back out, but they never did. So with each day I packed a little bit of my heart up - making sure to wrap the pieces carefully in packaging paper and label each box "fragile." I cried often, and on moving day, I wept - right in front of about 10 other adults who were helping us move. (Embarrassing.)

A few neighborhood ladies contributed to a yard sale I hosted. We got rid of quite a bit of our stuff we no longer used.
Gavin had to say good bye to his best friend, Brock.
And our awesome babysitter, Kiah, worked her magic with the kids one last time.
Gavin and Laynie kept sane through all the chaos...
or did they?
Had to take one last picture of our home. Many, many wonderful memories were made within its walls. But it was time to go.
Despite not getting the U-Haul truck we reserved, having the arches in my feet fall and not showering for 4 days in a row, Matt and I ran a pretty organized and smooth move. Never do I want to do anything of this sort again. That's what I said almost 4 years ago when we moved to Woods Cross. I've learned never to say never.
