SeaQuest Aquarium

This place never disappoints! I like it better than the much larger aquarium in Draper. It's more interactive and hands on. We took the kids here on July 15th - our 13th wedding anniversary and the anniversary of when our family first started out.  I feel so blessed to be part of this family here on earth.  These three people are my three greatest loves, and I can't imagine life without them.

Holding the cockatiel was the highlight of this visit!  This cute bird was so fascinating and entertained us all.

 

Health Update:

 After the stent in my right ureter was taken out, I had a ct scan done.  The results were not in my favor.  I now have to go to a plastic surgeon of urology because I have a watery mass constricting another place in my ureter and fixing it is out of my urologist's expertise.  I have been in constant pain for the last 3 months and I'm feeling worn out.  I'll keep you updated as we find out more.  The watery mass could be cancerous or a leakage.  I am feeling numb to it all right now, but trying to prepare my brain for the worst...

Camp Hunt @ Bear Lake

Matt and Gavin had a fun scout camp experience at Camp Hunt from July 1-6.  I was a little bummed it was over the 4th of July holiday.  I would have driven Laynie and me up to spend the 4th at Bear Lake with the boys, but my health was shaky and I didn't dare risk it.  So, we spent the holiday apart from each other, but seeing the joy on Gavin's face in this picture make me realize it was worth the sacrifice.

Mother/Daughter Week

This girl has my whole heart!  She was so excited to spend a week with her aged and sickly mother while the boys went off to scout camp!  We watched a lot of tv in bed because I was either feeling nauseated, cramps, back pain, or fatigued...  But this girl didn't seem to mind and showered me with love and kisses.  We read a couple of books together, one of which was Anne of Green Gables.  We tried to rent the movie with Megan Fallows in it from the library, but it was already checked out.  Will have to do that soon.

Laynie made a list of fun things for us to do!  One of which was to have a FUNdue night with her friend, Clara and her mom Emily Cox and of course, Tami Buckland.  It was a fun evening.

We also went to a Monday Funday at Neptune Park the previous week and Laynie painted this cute ceramic that she bought with her own money.  We share a lot of the same talents and I love that about US!

 

Made in America

For the 4th of July, Grandma/pa Anderson came with us to Sandy City's Carnival.  Laynie loved doing the free crafts there and Grandma/pa had fun on their scooters!  Both Grandpa and I were dealing with ureter issues, so we didn't stay long, but went to Pizzeria Limone for lunch.  I ordered lemon pizza and it was soooo good!

A small group of Andersons gathered at Chris and Ann's for a BBQ, swimming, and fireworks.  Laynie loved making 2 tanks for Tank Wars - an Anderson tradition.  She also had fun in their pool.  We left a little early because I started cramping in my side and felt a bit crappy.  We watched fireworks light up the sky as we drove home and then I soaked in the tub and listened to all the fireworks go off.
