7th grade day camp

On September 11th, I was able to go with the 7th graders at Gavin's school up Spanish Fork canyon to have a Day Camp.  The teachers were all amazing and awesome - creating this experience for the students to for relationships and build rapport with each other.  I was a parent helper.  I'm so glad my health allowed me to be here this day.

Gavin's group of friends spent a lot of time at the science center - making a really cool structure out of things of the earth.

Labor Day Get-a-way

After feeling pent up all summer due to my medical issues, Matt insisted we get away and go to sunny St. George.

On our way down, we stopped in at Cove Fort and learned a bit of pioneer history.

We also stopped a the Beaver Creamery and bought some squeaky cheese.  It's TRADITION.  :)

We also went to a few yard sales in Beaver and saw this sign.

We stayed at a one bedroom air B&B that had a pool and 2 fold out beds for the kids.

Laynie wanted to go to Glitter Mountain.

We stopped by to see the new Red Cliffs Temple, and we visited my cousin, Shirece and her family.  We had a spaghetti meal with them then went to Snow Canyon State Park.

It was GORGEOUS and a beautiful way to spend a Sunday, enjoying God's creations.

On Monday, we went mini golfing,

visited a dino museum,

and threw some axes!  The axe throwing was quite fun!!  They had different games we could play with the axes and we were the only ones in the place so we went crazy and had so much fun.  We then went to Thunder Junction Park (a dinosaur park) and ate lunch then headed home.  It was a fun little get-a-way - escaping for some time from the rigamaroo of life.
