A lot happened in February!
We planted bonsai trees for our quadruple date! Chris and Ann took us to a cute shop that had a class and we got to pick out our own tree, pot, etc. (This technically was the end of January.)
My preschoolers went on a "community" field trip.
Susan received her endowment in the Payson Temple.
Our family went to an Improv Broadway show.
We traveled to Layton to adopt 2 gerbils. Hairy Potter, the Hamster kicked the bucket, and he was such a sweet pet that we decided to try Gerbils. Personally, I prefer Hairy. He didn't stink nearly as bad as Dash n Daisy - two gerbils who will probably have babies...
We also hit up the Hill Air Force Base's Aerospace Museum. I had always wanted to go, and it didn't disappoint - especially since it was free!
We used our Get Out Pass to watch Daddy and Laynie skate at Classic Skating.
Laynie loves to skate, and she's quite good at it.
Gung Hey Fat Choy! (Happy Chinese New Year!) It was the year of the Dragon, which means extra good luck! Gavin was born in the year of the Dragon.
Laynie supported a couple of her friends by going to see them in her school's production of Aristocats.

Gavin helped Scout for Food at Smith's.
Matt left us all Valentines. He's the sweetest!

Gavin celebrated Spirit Week by dressing up like a teacher!
For President's Day weekend, we traveled to the salt flats and Wendover. I had never been. Pictured above is the Tree of Utah - a weird sculpture, but...
very lucrative! The kids had so much fun picking up all kinds of change that people had thrown around it.
We stopped at the Salt Flats - which were covered by water! I had no idea the salt flats would be submerged!
When in Wendover, we found a fun little hike. The town is based around the casinos/gambling, and not much else. So we found a family friendly hike that was supposed to lead us to an awesome vista, but it didn't. LOL.
We also tried another hike, but it was more of a walking trail in the desert.

Alayna had her Winter Showcase to get ready for all the competitions this spring. She has become quite the little clogger and LOVES it. I'm so happy she does. It's been so goo to see her confidence grow and see her master the dances and be proud of herself.
Brittney came to watch, and so did cousins Carly and Rosie Corie, but they left before we could get a picture with them.
Daddy and Gavvy were at a klondike scout camp and weren't able to attend.
The three amigas - Kelsey, Grace and Alayna. These three girls carpool down from Saratoga each week together.
Laynie's group danced to the song, "Goosebumps" by Meghan Trainer - hence the polka dots on her costume.
Nephi visited our primary during singing time to help teach the kids, The Iron Rod.
