Matty Boy is One Year Older and Wiser Too!

For Matt's 33rd birthday, we took him to 7 Peaks Fun Center in Lehi.
Laynie Girl was pretty excited about it.

We had to force Gavin to ride the rides, but once he did, he was all about them.

Then we played a game of miniature golf chase the ball around.

I do believe the birthday boy got a hole in one.

Gavin tried the slide...

while Laynie played in the corn pit.

Then we buried Gavin.

Gavin (can't see him) and Daddy riding the roller coaster.

We also went through "The Monster Manor" spook alley, a maze, and a jump house.

We all had a very spooktacular time.

We stopped in at The Olive Garden for Dad's birthday lunch,

had him open presents during Laynie's nap,

and then went kite flying in the evening.

Boo Day 2016

Boo Day 2016.  This year to help celebrate, we invited:

Waldo,

A Flower Princess,

Wenda (minus the hat and glasses),

And Super Mick (minus his cape).

A U of U graduate and some Pop Art also came.

We were entertained by a mime,

and we had to search far and wide for these people.

Brittney and I have been Boo Daying it since 2009.  So glad we have this tradition and excuse to get together!

The kids at at the little table.

We had a nightmarish meal of:  Mummy Hotdogs, Cheesy Batwings (Doritos), Ghost snot (coleslaw), Candy Corn Fruit Cups, Vampire Mouths, Spider Cider, and of course - Boo Day cake!

We had great company (Brittney and the Lambs)

And even a spider decided to drop on in.

We played some fun games as well.

Birds of a Feather, Play together!

We played at Tracy Aviary this morning.  I always love going here and I think the kids loved it too.

Remember September

We attended Cousin Olivia's 1st birthday party.  It was a super cute mermaid themed party with refreshments that were to die for.

We stopped in at Justin and Joni's house and the kids got to play with a really cool water table that Justin made out of PVC pipe and a storage tub.

I turn my back for one second and this little lady makes quite the mess!

Gavin started a music class called "Kidz in Tune"  His teacher is in the Mo-Tab and he has [fun] homework each day.  I'm not sure how interested (if any) Gavin is in music, but I believe it is so, so good for the brain!  So, this might be a class that appeals more to Mommy than Gavin, but he'll thank me when he's older, right?

I introduced Gavin to the I Spy books by Walter Wick.  He became inspired and insisted on making his own toy displays.  This is just one of many.  Can you find a toothbrush, 2 stars, a baby's bottle and 3 race cars?

Matt's work had a staff party at Cornbelly's.  The kids had a ball.

Matt even joined in when we got to the corn pit.

And by joining in, I mean he full out immersing himself in the corn.

That is, until it got down his underoos!

This boy didn't seem to mind!

We went to The Treehouse Museum.  The new exhibit was China!

Chinese ink paintings

Taking care of Pandas

Chinese school
And this is what Gavin's hair looked like after he took off his hat.  Hee hee hee!

We went for a little hike to enjoy the fall colors.

Gavin brought back a collection of fall.
